My mother, Audrey, put together a portfolio of my father's work for him to bring when meeting prospective clients. A picture saves a thousand words, and these photos helped convey to people the possibilities his talent could provide.
My father was articulate, humorous and a gifted storyteller, which stood him in good stead when establishing a rapport with potential customers.
In the first page of his portfolio he expressed himself with panache, "Working with my customers I take great care to ensure that my creations, whether they be traditional or contemporary, subtly elegant or brutally aggressive, are always in sympathy with their surroundings and purpose".
